Surfer Girl

This was done with Paintshop Pro v 9, but can be done in other versions

You will need:

Flaming Pear's Glare HERE

Mask, Font, Girl, Pattern HERE

Place the mask in your psp files, mask folder....the pattern in your psp files, pattern folder,
your font and girl in the folder of your choice

Open a new image 500x500

Open your girl - minimize

Set your foreground to pattern....and find the pattern orangesurf.pspimage....background nil

Go to Preset Shape - Ellipse

Draw a surfboard shape like this

Go to Layer - Convert to Raster Layer

Click on your Magic Wand - feather nil - tolerance nil - click inside the ellipse shape

Selections - Modify - Expand by 2

Floodfill with your pattern - Don't deselect

Go to Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur with these settings

Image - Flip

Effects - Flaming Pear - Glare with these settings

Keep Selected - Layers - New Raster Layer
On that layer - Cutout with these settings

Keep selected

Maximize the girl - Edit Copy (Ctrl C) - minimize again

Back to your image - Layers New Raster Layer - Edit Paste (Ctrl V) - Paste into selection - Select None
On that same layer, change the settings to 'Overlay'

Layers - Merge Visable

Maximize your girl again....Image - Resize 75% - Repeat once more - Edit Copy (Ctrl C)

Back to your image - Paste as New Layer - with your move tool, place it next to the surfboard

New Layer - Font Chiller (or any you fancy) 72 - stroke 1 - fg black - bg #fe6712

Turn the handle to place your name in the surfboard
Layers - Convert to Raster Layer
Drop Shadow 5ver.... -5hor.... opacity 65..... blur10......color white

Merge Visable

Ok, now you could be done and because there are no shadows anywhere,
you can save it as a transparent gif file, which you can use on any background :-)

Or, you can put a background behind them, like below I drew a circle, fg nil - bg color #ffad29
then used the mask 2020 - then I used - effects - distortion effects - wind - from left - strength 75

Or use your imagination, the possibilities are endless :-)
