Moonlight Halloween

Supplies needed:

Flaming Pear - Flood
Superblade Pro - 1-d hiddenembers.q5q HERE
Eyecandy 4000 - Shadowlab
AFS Import: CHGRAD HERE

If you don't have the filters, you can download them from HERE

Ok, let's get started....

Open a new image 500x500

Fill with black

New Raster Layer.....set both foreground and background to #D08E02

Choose the Ellipse tool in the preshapes and draw a circle at the middle top.....then  Layers...convert to Raster Layer

Go to Effects....Flaming Pear....Flood and play with the Horizon until the flood is under the moon:

Effects....Filters Unlimited...AFS Import - CHGRAD (default settings)

New Raster Layer.....set both your foreground and background to white

Using your selection tool set to 'rounded rectangle' draw a horizontal line and floodfill with white like this:

Keep selected and go to Effects - Flaming Pear - Superblade Pro and pick 1-hiddenembers.q5q....selection none

New Raster Layer and using your rounded selection again, draw a post downwards and fill with white....then Superblade Pro 1-hiddenembers again....selection none.....move this layer below the horizontal post

Select the layer with the down post and click on 'layers' 'duplicate or if you have your layers palette open, right click on the layer and select 'duplicate'

Then move the duplicate a bit to the right of the first post....duplicate again and keep duplicating and moving the posts until you have filled it to the end of the horizontal post:

Ok, I know this is tedious, but I like to explain it as slowly as I can :-)

Next New Raster Layer....

With your rectangle tool, draw a square underneath the posts....
floodfill with white and Effects...and again Superblade Pro and 1-hiddenembers.q5q

Then click on your Raster Deform Tool....

Hold  down your shift button and at the same time click on the top square and pull it inwards.....see below:

Do the same on the other side...

Now go back to your horizontal post layer....duplicate that one

With your Raster Deform Tool, pull the handle and rotate the post until it's in place to the left....see below:

Duplicate that layer....then 'Image'.....then 'mirror'....

Phew....nearly there with that balcony :-)

New Raster Layer....select Rounded Rectangle...and draw a vertical post to one of the sides....fill with white....then 1-dhiddenembers.q5q again....

Duplicate that one again and keep duplicating and moving until it's all in place....

One more thing....the shadow.....we're going to use Eycandy 4 and ShadowLab.....settings 'Cast in Front'

Do it with all the separate vertical posts.....once that's done....whoohoo....we can now Merge Visible!

This is what you should have so far.....

GO AHEAD....HAVE A BREAK.....A COFFEE OR A STIFF ONE....YOU'LL NEED IT FOR THE 2ND PART :-)
