For Paintshop Pro 6, 7 & 8
but can also be done in newer versions
This is a lesson to make your
own realistic backgrounds... It will be a beach
background...and for this I used the Murameister filter and the
Flaming Pear's Flood
Tools needed:
Tubes or use mine Here
or if you can't open the zip, open the EXE Here
(I tubed the motherdaughter
from an old painting, so is safe to download)
With your selection tool set to
rectangle, make a selection halfway
Murameister Cloud with these settings....
Go to Selections....invert.....Murameister's
Cloud with these settings....
Selections....None...you should now have
something like this:
With your selection tool set to rectangle
select some cloud and a bit of sand....
Go to Flaming Pear's Flood with these
settings...
Now with your lassoo tool set to freehand draw
a line across the middle like this....
Fill with white.....Selections....Select
None...
With your Soften Tool set to Smudge...
Go around the white until it looks like
surf....
Open the mother & daughter tube and resize
to 50% or use your own tube
and paste as new layer....
Position it to where you want it....
Open the shell tube and select one with your
selection tool...with the magic wand double click to get the
ants close...
Paste as new layer and position on the
bottom....go back to the shell tube and pick another and paste
as new selection on your image untill you've filled all the
bottom....
Open your seagull.. copy and paste as new
layer and position it on top of the shells to the left... (I've used eyecandy's shadowlab to give the
girls a shadow....also gave the bird a shadow)
New Raster Layer
With your paintbrush set....foreground colour
to grey...
draw a bird in the sky....then set your
foreground colour to white and draw another bird....
New Raster Layer
With your text tool set to
Chasecallas,
foreground nil...background white
Put on your image....with the ants still
marching, go to selections....save to alpha channel...
Hit the delete key.....Go to
Selections....load from alpha channel....
With the ants still marching, go to drop
shadow ....vertical and horizontal 1....Opacity 65...blur
1.2....color black...
Click Ok....
Back to Drop shadow...same
settings, but change the color to
white...
Selections....Select None....
With your deform tool, position your text
where you want it....
